A HOT weekend

I didn't get much time to relax this weekend, but I did have lots of fun. 

On Saturday Jarod and I went shopping along Main Street and I bought a very cute dress and a shirt. I stopped in to the Regional Assembly of Text and met Janine from UPPERCASE. We then headed to Jarod's cousin Ryan's house warming party. He and his wife just bought an apartment very close to our place. 

We headed out after a while and went grocery shopping. I love grocery shopping. Jarod and I usually have fun roaming the aisles together, as long as I don't take forever looking at things. We then headed home, made dinner and watched a movie. I also taught Jarod how to make a bracelet. He purchased some beads while we were shopping earlier in the day and now he has two bracelets to wear and be proud of. 

He also made one for me :)

While we were at the grocery store it started down pouring and there ended up being a huge thunder and lightening storm that night. Gizmo hid in his safe-spot under the bed.

Yesterday we went out to Ladner to see my good friend Stacey and to check out the Ladner Farmer's Market with her. It was another hot hot day. 

There were so many yummy looking veggies there.

We had a nice cup of fresh lemonade. 

I bought a few of my favourite summer food... BC peaches.

We don't need a thermometer to tell us how hot it is outside... we have a Gizmometer.

 

Gucio

Oh my... I'm blushing. Take a peak at the Gucio Photography website. Both of the pics on their opening page are of my wedding :) Awww! 

Tonight was really fun! I got to hang out with Anna and Kasia for a long time talking about all sorts of things. Design, photography, life, skinny pants (and REALLY skinny pants on a guy behind us) etc. Now I'm at home tucked in to bed with Gizmo chewing his bone near my feet.

A day with Val

On Saturday I worked from 9:15 to 3:35, and then I drove out to Richmond to pick up Valerie. The two of us went to Steveston and checked out some cute shops, and then drove the silly long drive to my place in Surrey. We picked up sushi for dinner, and rented a game to play on my Wii (The game ended up being pretty silly). We watched Love Actually (such a feel-good movie!) and rubber-stamped. We also drank some of the yummy tea that Oprah recommends. Smells so good... and who can resist the packaging!?

Val also got to meet Gizmo for the first time... they seemed to hit it off pretty well :)

Jarod came with me for the 45 minute drive back to Richmond to drop Val off... what a sweet guy. He even drove on the way home :)
