Time sure does go by fast these days! I am missing my hours spent at the computer though. I hardly have time to check my e-mail, let alone read blogs or post on my own. School is going so well. I love everything. I have seven classes, and enjoy every one of them. This is my weekly schedule:
Monday: Survey of Design 9am-1pm, Drawing for Illustration 2pm-6pm
Tuesday: Introduction to Typography 9am-4pm
Wednesday: Illustration Fundamentals 9am-4pm
Thursday: Creative Thinking for Designers 9am-1pm, Life Drawing 2pm-6pm
Friday: Principles of Colour and Design 9am-5pm
Saturday: Work at Credit Union 9:15am-5:15pm
And then I have Sundays to sleep in, clean the house, spend time with Jarod, and do homework.
So like I said, life is busy, but good. I have already learnt quite a bit, and am loving the new skills I'm picking up in life drawing. I can't wait to create some masterpieces so I can post them up here. For now though, it's mostly sketches. I actually haven't had any work graded yet, but I feel like I'm doing pretty well. I was sketching on my journey home yesterday, which helped pass the time. It's hard to draw people without them noticing, and you don't want to seem creepy.
On Tuesday we had a field trip to a man's house who has an incredible collection of printing presses and all sorts of fun things. He has machines that make the letters out of metal, that you then use to print words. I took oodles of photographs, and now I have to edit them and put them on my flickr page. He also mentioned that he would teach a group of three to bind books. I raised my hand immediately, because book binding is so fascinating to me. We just have to set it up with him.
I received some lovely packages in the mail this week. First, I got a delivery of vegan goodies that I ordered off line, and VEGAN MARSHMALLOWS are finally available! They were amazing! I got the one's covered in coconut because they were out of the regular, and they were super good! I shop at Cosmo's Vegan Shop and they're really good!
I also got a super fun package from Inka! She is also a member of the Freckled Nest Design Team, and we are doing monthly swaps. Inka sent me an assortment of lovely items, like buttons, earrings, pens, and much more, all the way from Finland! It was so fun to open, everything was wrapped up individually. Thank you Inka!!
Well it's eleven o'clock now, which gives me eight hours until I have to get up to go to work. Time for me to go to bed! Hope you're all enjoying whatever you're up to these days... write me an e-mail or leave me a comment, they always make my day!

What a busy but fascinating schedule you have! Love that old machine. I've actually researched recipes for vegan marshmallows. I love to make them, but gelatin is kind of GROSS. Perhaps I will perfect a recipe by the time we're swap partners.
